A lot of you asked (and we wondered too) when Johan found out about the adoption. We asked yesterday and it appears he has known for about a month. He said when he received our gift (some updated pictures and a Harry Potter book) about a month ago that that is when he knew. Martha told us that when they officially told him he was elated. He jumped up and down with delight. Highly unusual for him since he is not one to show much emotion.
I also asked him yesterday about computer/internet access and where he emailed us from. He was emailing us from Bienestar (ICBF) the social agency office. No surprise here - but they don't have computers at his school.
Tom asked him what he had been doing the last few days. He said he was visiting his previous foster mothers to say goodbye. Carolina, one of the ones he was with the longest, took him swimming. They also had a farewell at school for him where he received the honor of raising the flag and they gave him a medal. So he's had an exciting few days in preparation for this big life change.
We're off shortly to do our errands. We are on the central time zone - but they don't change for daylight savings time here (hopefully we'll be home before the time changes!).
